Somewhere 30,000 feet above cornfields and snow, an idea was born as I read "The Warren Buffet Way". Warren Buffet and The Pampered Chef…No way, I thought. But then again, Mr. Buffett has a few more pennies to rub together than I do. So began the two year process of creating J. Hilburn.

The idea was simple - build the leading luxury men's apparel brand in the world. I later realized the idea would be the easy part. Back then, we were a couple of hardcore Wall Street guys. We shared a passion for custom-made dress shirts and for the pampered feeling we got from wearing them. That passion got us thinking. We studied the men's luxury market and saw that nobody was delivering quality custom clothing and personal service at a price that was the same as, or less than, off-the-rack product.

So, we launched J. Hilburn in 2007, the goal is becoming the reality.
